Dance Of Life.com.au is committed to safeguarding your privacy online while using our website and services. Please read the following policy to understand how your personal information will be treated as you make full use of our website and services.

Dance Of Life Enterprises (hereafter “DOL”), owned and operated by Sonya Manzalini, is primarily a bellydance school teaching a variation of the Ghawazi style of middle eastern gypsy dance, this style forms that foundation of Belly Dance.

We have a physical boutique at the studio and we also have our new online store.

DOL is using Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) technology.

When you submit personal information to us when using this website, including purchasing goods and/or services, and/or signing up to our Newsletter for more information, and/or contacting us using our Contact Form, you agree that DOL may collect, use and disclose such personal information in accordance with this Privacy Policy and as permitted or required by law.
If you do not agree with these terms, please do not provide any personal information to us. If you refuse or withdraw your consent, or if you choose not to provide us with any required personal information, we may not be able to provide you with some or all of our products and/or advertisements and services. Products and/or advertisements and services can only be offered on our site if we have access to certain personal information.

How does DOL use your information?

DOL collects your personal information and contact details to enable us to provide you with the best service possible while visiting and using our website. The majority of information collected about you is for the purpose of verifying contact information and delivering requested products, information, and services.

PURCHASING PRODUCTS & SERVICES.
When you place an order or purchase any of our products your name, address, email and phone number are retained for order fulfilment and billing purposes. You will also be subscribed to our newsletter which includes: dance courses, workshops, performances, events and our latest offers in the DOL boutique. You may unsubscribe from our newsletters by following the unsubscribe instructions in any email you receive from us.

SUBSCRIBING TO OUR NEWSLETTER.
When you subscribe to our Newsletter, your first name, last name and email address are collected and used to enable our Newsletter to be sent to you. DOL uses MailChimp for creating and sending our newsletter to our subscribers. Subscribers details are stored on MailChimp servers to enable DOL to use the MaiChimp platform and service.
MailChimp does not sell account holder’s (DOL) subscriber information to third parties.

CONTACT FORM SUBMISSION.
When you submit an enquiry using our Contact Form, your first name, last name and email address are collected and added to our newsletter contact list. Our monthly newsletter is sent to the contacts on the newsletter list. Additional special notice newsletters may occasionally be sent as required.
You can unsubscribe from our newsletter by using the unsubscribe link in the footer of any newsletter or by emailing Sonya with Unsubscribe in the email Subject.

CONTESTS, COMPETITIONS & PRIZE DRAWS.
When entering any of our contests, competitions or prize drawings, you provide your name, email address and mailing address. If you win, we will send the prize to the address entered and notify you by email. When you enter a contest or drawing you are also included in our Newsletter list to receive notice of DOL News. You may unsubscribe from this news list by following the unsubscribe instructions in any email received.

DOL may retain your contact information for as long as permitted by law.

Is your information shared?

DOL shall not sell, rent, trade or otherwise transfer any personal details or information to any third parties, unless it is obliged to do so under applicable laws or by order of the authorities.

Non-identifying information may be used to improve the site. For instance, information that is collected regarding traffic to the site or specific pages may be shared, but this will never include any identifying information.

DOL does not directly set cookies, but we do run a number of scripts from providers such as Google. Some of these set web browser cookies. Google in particular quietly collects a tremendous amount of data on your browsing habits, and we participate in that data collection.

“Cookies” are data sent to your web browser from a web server (such as Google) that can uniquely identify your computer and store information about user preferences. Most web browsers will accept cookies by default, but they can be set to reject cookies, either from all websites or from specific sites. You can also manually delete cookies from your web browser. Our website is not currently setup for accepting comments.

Minors

Minors (as defined under the laws of THEIR jurisdiction or residence) are not eligible to use the DOL website and/or services in any way. This website was not designed for use by minors and we do not knowingly collect personal information from any minor, and we will not use this information if we discover that it has been provided by a minor.

Media

We use our own images to populate the site as required and do not have facility for visitor uploads to our website.
Where the copyright of images may be owned by another entity other than the DOL, the images will be credited with the copyright owner’s name.

DOL may contain links that will let you leave the DOL website and access another website. This Policy, applies solely to personal information that is acquired on this website (http://danceoflife.com.au). DOL accepts no responsibility or liability for your use or disclosure of personal information to linked websites.

How long we retain your data?

DOL does not currently allow comments on its website.
However, if this was to change in the future and you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognize and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.

DOL is not currently using a membership or user account system for users and visitors to our website.
However, if this was to change in the future, we would store the personal information they provide in their user profile. All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username). Website administrators can also see and edit that information.

Details collected and archived from your contact with us via the Contact Form are kept indefinitely for possible follow-up.

What rights you have over your data

If you have contacted us via the Contact Form, you can request that your contact log be deleted from our system via the Contact Form using the “General Enquiry” Subject option. We will follow this up with you personally to confirm that the information is yours before sending any information and personal details.

Where we send your data

If visitor comments were enabled in the future, they may be checked through an automated spam detection service.

What security precautions are in place to protect the loss, misuse, or alteration of your information?

DOL shall take the appropriate organisational and technical measures to protect the personal information and IP data provided to it or collected by it necessary to comply fully with any and all applicable laws, obligations, and regulations.

As a result, while we strive to protect your personal information, DOL cannot ensure or warrant the security of any information you transmit to us or from our online products or services, and you do so at your own risk. What we do NOT do.

We do not and will not, at any time, request your credit card information, login name, or password, in an unsecure or unsolicited e-mail or telephone communication. Additionally we will not request any confidential or personal information through a social networking site such as Twitter™, Instagram™, or Facebook™.

This privacy policy is effective as of Monday 6th December 2021. DOL reserves the right to make changes, deletions, modifications, or provide supplements to this policy from time to time. Changes will apply to the information collected after the date of changes as well as to existing information held by us and will take effect immediately upon publication, unless otherwise stated in writing by DOL. You agree that the express acceptance by you, or your continued use of the DOL website or after publication of changes, shall constitute your acceptance of the privacy policy.
